Pre-season match up against the Kent-Sud Flames...

2013-10-09

New team, new name and eventually a new look.

The Shediac/Cap-Pele Atom “A” Jr. Patriots are heading in to the pre-season with a new team, new name and eventually a new look. The players were out for their first team practice Monday night at the Shediac Festival arena.  Journalists were on hand to see the much anticipated team of the 2013-2014 season.

A total of 10 new players have been added to the Jr. Patriots. These are some of the top players out of the Cap-Pelé and Shediac area. It will be a rebuilding year for the team. In the early edition of TSN’s Sports Desk, assistant coach Michel “Mig” LeBlanc mentioned: “We have recruited players from the minor leagues and our farm club to help out our veteran players. Our coaching staff will focus on having the players work as a team as well team tactics. Once the players get to know the team’s system of play and accustom to the speed of the game, we should get positive results.”

The Jr. Patriots will be hosting the Kent-Sud Flames Saturday, October 12 at 4:15pm at the Shediac Festival arena for a pre-season match up. Arrive early as seating will be limited.
